I expected another complicated file-sharing tool. Instead, I created a room, shared the code, and got straight to the transfer. That’s the kind of simplicity I appreciate.

Dumpit · File transfer
Dumpit is a gesture-controlled file-transfer app. Select files, connect with a room code, show your palm, and close your hand to grab. Open your palm at the other device to dump.
Free to use on either connection. The same Wi-Fi is usually faster; different networks use internet data on both devices.

The idea
Sharing a file should feel as simple as handing it to someone. Grab on one device. Open your palm at the other to dump.
How Dumpit works
01, Grab
Select your files, create a room, and share its code with the other device. Open both cameras. Once the devices are ready, show your palm, let the circle complete, then close your hand to grab.
02, Dump
At the connected device, hold your palm toward the camera and let the circle complete to dump the files. Keep both screens on until the transfer finishes, then save your files.
Same Wi-Fi usually means faster sharing
On the same Wi-Fi, a direct connection can keep file traffic on your local network without using mobile data for the files. Room setup and initial hand-tracking downloads still need internet access. If a direct connection is unavailable, an internet relay may be used. Across different networks, both devices use internet data. Speed depends on your devices and connection.

The best part is that I don’t need to create an account or upload everything somewhere first. It’s a refreshingly straightforward way to move files between devices.
Oliver BennettSoftware Developer · London, UK
I like that the experience gets straight to the point. Create a room, connect the other device, and get on with what you’re doing. No unnecessary setup.
Maya ThompsonContent Creator · New York, USA
I appreciate tools that do one thing well without making the process complicated. Dumpit’s room-and-code approach is easy to understand, even the first time you use it.
Aino KorhonenTechnology Enthusiast · Helsinki, Finland
When I’m sharing work between devices, I want something quick and easy to follow. Dumpit has a simple flow that doesn’t make me figure out a whole new system.
Kwame AsanteSmall Business Owner · Accra, Ghana
Moving files between devices should be simple. I like the idea of connecting directly over the same Wi-Fi instead of adding another upload-and-download step.
Thandi MokoenaPhotographer · Cape Town, South Africa
There’s something satisfying about a product that doesn’t ask for much from you. The interface is clear, and the steps are easy to follow.
Aron JónssonDigital Professional · Reykjavík, Iceland
The room code makes the connection process easy to understand. I can see this being useful when someone needs to share files quickly with a nearby device.
Wanjiku MwangiSoftware Engineer · Nairobi, Kenya
The experience feels focused. You don’t have to navigate a pile of features before you can do what you came for. That simplicity is a real strength.

How Dumpit works
Select your files on the sending device and create a room. Join with the six-digit code on the receiving device, then open both cameras. Once the devices are ready, your hands control the handoff.

01, Show your palm
Face your open palm toward the sending device's camera. Hold it steady while the circle fills and the hand skeleton appears.
02, Grab your files
Make a fist to grab your selected files. The orb confirms your grab. Wait for the connected device to show the incoming-file message.
03, Move to the other device
For a nearby transfer, move your closed hand toward the connected device. This brings the gesture to life; Dumpit does not track your movement between cameras.
04, Open to dump
Open your palm at the connected device to dump. Hold it toward the camera until the circle completes. You do not need to show a closed fist to this camera first. Keep both screens on until completion, then save the files.
Gestures control the transfer; the connected devices carry the data. When sharing across different networks using internet data, another person can open their palm at the receiving device. A receiver who joins after a grab needs a new transfer.
Who it's for
Why Dumpit
A room code, connected devices, and a hand gesture. No account or cloud storage needed.
The same Wi-Fi is not required, but is usually faster. Across different networks, both devices use internet data. Dumpit tries a direct encrypted connection, with relay fallback when needed.
Add files on the sender and transfer them directly to receivers. File contents are not uploaded to Dumpit storage.
Create one private room and share its code with a class, team, or the one person beside you.
Select files, create a room, and connect the other device with the code. No sign-up before you grab and dump.
Show your palm to the sender's camera, wait for the circle, then close your hand to grab. Open your palm at the connected device to dump.
Dumpit is not built around hosted file storage. Large transfers depend on browser memory, device capacity, and network speed. Same Wi-Fi is recommended.
Dumpit vs. everything else

Dumpit is free to use on the same Wi-Fi and across different networks. A direct same-Wi-Fi transfer can avoid mobile-data use for the files; room setup and initial hand tracking still need internet access. Transfers across different networks, or through an internet relay, use internet data.

FAQ
Dumpit at dumpit.tech is a gesture-controlled file-transfer app created by Fadahunsi Miracle at Morden Labs. Connect devices with a private room code, grab selected files with a fist, and open your palm at the connected device to dump them. It works on the same Wi-Fi or across different networks using internet data.
No. Dumpit uses a small signaling service to introduce the devices, but the file contents are not uploaded into Dumpit storage.
No. Open the page, stage a file, create or join a room, and grab it.
Open Dumpit on the devices involved, create or join a private room with its six-digit code, and allow camera access when the handoff begins.
Dumpit does not impose an app-level limit, but very large transfers depend on available storage, browser limits, device memory, and the network path between the devices.
Each ready receiver included when you grab can open a palm to dump their own copy. Wait until the receiving devices are ready before grabbing.
Not necessarily. Dumpit works on the same Wi-Fi or across different networks. The same Wi-Fi is usually faster, especially for large files, and a direct local transfer can avoid using mobile data for the files. Across different networks, sending and receiving use internet data. Room setup and initial hand tracking still need internet access. An internet relay may be used if a direct connection is unavailable. Some networks may still restrict connections.
Wait for the ready-to-dump status before grabbing. If nobody is ready, your selected files stay in place so you can grab again. A receiver who was not ready for a transfer needs a new transfer after it finishes. Select the files again to send another copy.
The room closes for receivers. Files that already arrived can still be saved. Ask the sender for a new room code to transfer more files.
Yes. Dumpit does not charge for sending or receiving files, on the same Wi-Fi or across different networks. Your internet or mobile provider may charge for data used during setup or a transfer.

About Us
An independent file-transfer product by Morden Labs, created by Fadahunsi Miracle in Lagos, Nigeria.
The creator
Creator of Dumpit & founder of Morden Labs
Fadahunsi Miracle created Dumpit to make sharing a file feel like handing it to someone: grab on one device, dump on another.
Dumpit brings that idea into an everyday tool, connecting devices through a private room and using the camera to recognise the hand gestures that control a transfer.
Meet Miracle on LinkedIn →The idea
We pass things to one another all the time. Dumpit takes that familiar movement and gives it a digital purpose: selecting files, grabbing them with a fist, and opening a palm at the connected device to dump them.
The gesture is the interaction, not a physical journey the software follows. Devices carry the data, whether they share the same Wi-Fi or connect across different networks using internet data.
The studio
Morden Labs is the studio behind Dumpit, founded by Fadahunsi Miracle. Dumpit is an independent product built with a focus on practical software and a more natural experience of sharing.
Based in Lagos, Nigeria. Built for people connecting their devices, wherever they are.

Privacy
The short version: Dumpit does not store your files. Here's exactly how the room introduces devices and what our server can see.
The room code helps the intended devices find each other. WebRTC encrypts the transfer between browsers. Devices try to connect directly, on the same Wi-Fi or across networks. If direct pairing cannot connect, Cloudflare TURN may forward encrypted packets. Dumpit does not upload your files to cloud storage.
A small handshake message so the devices in a private room can find and connect to each other, and the device name you choose to show (e.g. "Gee's Phone"). Dumpit does not store the file contents.
When relay access is needed, Cloudflare Turnstile verifies a security check and our server requests temporary relay credentials. Cloudflare processes connection and security metadata, such as IP addresses and traffic usage, to operate these services. The TURN relay forwards encrypted file traffic rather than acting as file storage.
A 6-digit code introduces the devices invited into a private room. It is not tied to an account, and Dumpit does not require sign-up.
